5 million people showed up to the Chicago Cubs parade and rally Friday to celebrate, making it the 7th largest gathering in human history. This was the first World Series title for the Cubs since 1908 and the parade was in my front yard so I had to get out there and capture some of the day!
Hours of waiting to see the players... children, dogs, the young and old were all dressed in cubs gear gathered to cheer for the team! And, not much business going on downtown that didn't involve baseball. Note the man in the shop window looking bored, or perhaps wishing he was outside.
The hopes and dreams of future fans were ignited and the river was dyed "Cubs Blue" to celebrate the day. If you didn't get to be part of the celebration, I hope you enjoy these snaps.
Amber :)
P.S. I stood on this pipe for about an hour to get these shots over the heads of the masses. Well worth the balancing act!
